“Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen.”
– Michael Jordan
Welcome! My name is Ashley Thompson. I am a mother, wife, and daughter of God, living the dream as a stay-at-home mom. I graduated in 2014 with my master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from Kent State University. Following graduation, I worked at a skilled nursing facility and charter school as a speech-language pathologist (speech therapist) before I had my daughter. I now get to spend my days watching her grow into an ever-more incredible little person, and spend my nights whipping up speech therapy materials, cuddling and conversing with my husband, and working on one of a million other projects I have going at any point in time. I have always loved crafts, and speech therapy lets me utilize this passion combined with research-based treatment to enhance the lives of children and adults alike.
I started this website because I began to seriously miss my speech therapy days and wanted to continue to offer my (self-perceived) skills, experience, and education in hopes that it will be of some benefit to someone somewhere.
Occasionally, throughout my posts, I include “Extra Editions” detailing my other three interests: faith, family, and real estate. These offer a sort of “breather” from my typical speech therapy posts and are intended, again, to be of some benefit to someone somewhere.
Thank you for joining us! May God continue to bless and keep you and yours.
